10 Week Challenge (2) - Update 1/First week

Tuesday, April 08, 2008

The first 10 week challenge is over and I lost a total of 13.2 pounds. I'm not sure yet, but I may be the big winner in the group. The coach was supposed to do the pay-out last week, but a lot of the group didn't make it and then she forgot to do it last night. However, my odds look good. I'll let you know next week.

I wasn't planning on it, but I ended up signing up for a second challenge. I like being a part of the group. I like having all of that information available to me. I think I'll be able to pick up more information the second time around as well. I'll have a new "challenge" picture in a couple of days.

We were asked to fill out a goal sheet and write down what our goals are and 3 reasons why we want to reach that goal. We were asked not to right down simple responses like, "to be healthy", "to feel good", but to dig deep. Here is what I wrote:

Weight Loss 20 pounds by June 23rd
1. To be able to look in the mirror and not be saddened by what I see.
2. To stop hiding behind my fat from male affection.
3. I want to be an athelete and have the body of one.

There is soooo much to learn about healthy eating. And the balance between healthy eating and exercise and not starving yourself --- GEESH! It can get a little overwhelming. So, I've decided to perfect one thing I learn at a time. I went out today and bought some Aloe Vera, which is supposed to be like a shower for your insides. I bought a small bottle just in case I didn't like it. We'll see how it goes.

I'll keep you posted.
