Weekend Blues

I have done really well with my diet until this weekend. Our community has a huge garage sale that goes from our town for 25 miles and is called antique alley. I went to that with my daughter and one of her friends yesterday and really blew it. They had all these food stands and it all smelled so good I had to get a bbq sandwich and then later on had a chili cheese dog. I can't tell you what that did to my system. I had been feeling better than I have felt in years and this morning when I woke up, I felt like used to. I have come to the conclusion that even as good as that tasted, it isn't worth it to feel the way it makes me feel so today I got back on track with the right kinds of food and am beginning to feel a lot better.
I am trying not to get onto myself too bad because I think everyone messes up at one point of time or another and as long as we realize what we have done and not do it again....life is a learning experience and if you learn from your mistakes, then you have accomplished something.

    Isn't it amazing how different you feel once you start eating healthy? And then when you eat something unhealthy you body says BOOHOO (which always gets me right back on track). It is funny how this healthy lifestyle thing has good days and bad... just when you think you are doing great, BAM, the smell of something bad for you smacks you right in the face. I found what works for me is to actually give in to it. But only eat one bite. Then wait. Usually I realize that I didn't want the "forbidden" food so bad after all.

    You couldn't have said that any better!! You have it so right! Funny though.. how one bad day can change our mentality. How many good days have you had before that bad day? That's what is important.. and also that you start from scratch again. You can do it!! If you need anything... let me know.
