One Month Anniversary

Yesterday marked my one month anniversary at Sparks.
Heres my progress to date:
3.8 inches off my waist
2 1/2" off my hips
Over 1400 min exercise
Weight loss: 8 lbs.
I'm pretty amazed that this could be accomplished by enjoying a reasonable calorie consumption of 1600-1800 with one day a week at 1900-2000.
I am working out 30-90 min 6 days a week.
AND LOVING IT.
This month I
took 2 mile walks on the road with my husband
rode my bike
reintroduced myself to the fat burning/muscle building Nordic Track Walkfit
experimented with fitness videos
danced often to well-loved music--mostly with handweights (huge stress buster!)
fell in love with wall pushups.
delighted in watching my toddler try to mimic the exercises
This month I
drank more water (but still not enough)
ate more fruits and vegetables (still not enough)
discovered I also need to make other dietary adjustments (less fat, more fiber)
ate far, far, less junk food and sugary snacks
drank less coffee (I think found a good balance.)
Made new friends--ones that support me in my efforts and warm my heart.
Next month my goals are to
-establish a strength training ROUTINE.
-master the water issue and make herbal tea at bedtime a firm habit
(for me, unsweetened herbal tea will count as water)
-keep up the exercise and ride my bike more.
Eat more vegetables.
Juice carrots for my family once a week. (Always mean to.)
