the struggle

This week has been hard. the pool finally opened and looking at all the snackbar food is awful. I am doing great as far as that goes though. I did have a snowball today though...

I think that my hardest challenge of this whole sparkpeople thing is finding the balance of eating too much, too little, and healthily. I just dont understand. Last week I literally ate crap but ended up losing 5 pounds. HELP!! I feel like I am going backwards this week!

Yo Luke, how about swimming in the morning before the pool opens or on your breaks? You are at the pool and working out by swimming is not only a good activity to get you occupied and not eating crap but it good for your job and you are setting a good example for your staff.

You minght want to consider keeping a food journal, one column being your 'planned' and then the next being 'actual'. If you plan out what you will eat for the day, and are honest about keeping tabs on your intake, it may help keep you straight. You may also consider working out (weights/cardio) first thing in the morning to help kick-start that day's attitude...of course working out first thing in the morning may require you to go to sleep earlier...which when you are exercising and eating well is 1/3 of the equation...
