I got this letter from Isabelle's teacher...

Dear Parents,

I give you back your child, the same child you confidently entrusted to my care last fall. I give her back pounds heavier, inches taller, months wiser, more responsible, and more mature than she was then. Although she would have attained growth in spite of me, it has been my pleasure and privilege to watch her personality unfold day by day and marvel at this splendid miracle of development. I give her back reluctantly, for having spent nine months together in the narrow confines of a crowded classroom, we have grown close, have become a part of each other, and we shall always retain a little of each other. Ten years from now if we met on the street, your child and I, a light will shine to our eyes, a smile to our lips, and we shall feel the bond we feel today. We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. I wish it could go on indefinitely, but give her back I must. Take care of her, for she is precious. Remember that I shall always be interested in your child and her destiny, wherever she goes, whatever she does, whoever she becomes. Her joys are sorrows I'll be happy to share. I shall always be her friend.

Isabelle's report card has all As...part of it is Isabelle's ability to learn...but another part of it is her teacher's ability to teach...Isabelle really had a rare & wonderful teacher this year...we were truly blessed beyond words & measure by this lovely lady...she has set a high standard that Isabelle will expect out of her future teachers...I should start praying now for next year...lol...

That is awesome. This teacher sounds great. It sounds like she really knows how much of an impact on a child's life she has and that she acknowledges they have an impact on hers. Wow. Very nice!

I believe that has to be the nices thing to read form a teacher. I know that many dedicate a lot of time to helping the students but some just don't care enough.
I hope and pray that my children when I have them will have a teacher that cares just as much as that teacher did.
