I did it! Now I need a nap.

I did it. I went for a bike ride on Saturday. I went 8 miles in 40 minutes. I wasn’t a long one, but at least I did it!

I planned on going a lot longer, but about 4 miles in, my body said “Are you crazy? What the hell are you doing? Its hot, and I’m tired. Take me home now!!!” I need to listen to my body now more than ever, so I went home. I’m glad I did. I slept for a couple hours later that day, and on Sunday my legs had the jello-weak feeling that I had back when I had my flare-up. So maybe I’m not ready to go biking hardcore.

But I’m going to keep trying. Maybe this weekend, I can get up to 10 miles. I little extra every time I go. And as long as I listen to my body, I think I’ll be fine. I feel good today, not too weak or tired. So I might need a little recovery time each time I go, but it seems ok. Maybe I can even squeeze in a short little ride in between all the dog walking!

    Whoohoo, good for you. I started the couch to 5k programme today. My knees hurt a little and I had a stitch for the first time in years. It feels gooood tho ;)
