I ran in the Governor's Cup last friday here in Topeka at the Sunflower State Games. I came in 2nd in my age group (30-34) out of 4 people, 27th overall out of 62 people with a time of 49:41. I guess now I am qualified for the Midwest Games and then the Nationals, but I am happy just having done it and being able to run with a others for once.

    Wow that is awesome. Congrats...I'm not running now, but I've started walking can't imagine doing a 15k. I'm also happy for your weight loss. You are really looking healthy.

    I doubt it since I am still so new to the running thing and it would take more time than I seem to have now. I am thinking of running this Saturday in the Shunga Run starting at the Crestview Community Center at 7:30am. It is a 8k run and they are also doing a 5k walk at the same time. I am not closing the door on the idea of going to the next level in running, just not sure what I will have time for next.

    That is AWESOME!!
    I just can't get into running. I am happy when I try it in little bouts, but it just doesn't appeal to me.
    So are you going to run in the upcoming races that you are now qualified for? emoticon
