Racing this weekend!

I have a 10K on Sunday. I have been feeling a little tired this week, because I did my 16 miler instead of stepping back. Here's how I'm doing a mini taper for this race. I didn't run today - it was raining anyway. I'm going to a muscle pump class at the Y tonight, and doing an 8 miler tomorrow morning. I don't usually run on Fridays - it's my rest day. I'm going to rest on Saturday for my race on Sunday. Hopefully that will keep the inflammation in my foot (plantar fascitis) from being too painful during the race.
The weather forecast is for HOT HOT HOT on Sunday - like 96 degrees! The race is at 7:15 in the morning, so I should be OK, as long as I hydrate before. I'm usually done running before 7:00, so I might get a little hot, but it's only a 10K
As far as a time, I would love to get a PR! My goal is a 53. But I know that the humidity will be a major player in this effort. We'll see. I will be happy wth whatever time I get.
I only have 7 weeks before TAPER!!! I love taper.
