Don't know why...

Sunday, August 03, 2008

This is a very weird day. I had some delicious healthy steel cut oatmeal for breakfast with a banana. Then we walked both dogs and had a great time. After that we went food shopping, just for a few things and my DH bought a piece of cake. I ended up getting one too. I ate it in the car on the way home and we also bought 2 frozen pizzas. The sodium alone will probably kill me.

I'm in a mood where I just want to take a day off because I haven't been losing really at all. After my 4+ week plateau I lost some, then haven't lost except for .6 lbs. I'm getting discouraged with all the exercising I've been doing! I have been feeling great and I've been reading my SparkPage and trying to be positive and talk to myself like I was someone else.

It's NOT working for me right now.

Hope everyone has a great day. I will be better tomorrow, after I eat my pizza LOL!

I'm battling my plateau too... we have to keep on fighting! We can't let it win! I went UP 5 lb.s and then plateaued so be thankful that the scale is not going the other direction... and keep on track so that THAT doesn't change. Downward movement is just around the corner!!

Hi Ruth!! Sometimes this happens. Tomorrow is another day ~ maybe you just needed the high end of your ranges today ~ I know you are not going to let this get you down and make you go off the deep end!!

I am happy that you were able to enjoy yourself today with your hubby! It sounds like you had a very enjoyable time. Besides, how much OVER you calorie range did you actually get??

Things will look and feel better tomorrow ~ I will be thinking and praying for you!

I agree it is a weird day. It happens. Hurray for your good start. A walk and healthy breakfast and logging into SP and blogging. Catherine is right in that there are consequences for our actions but I know you well enough I think to say this was not your typical day. You have logged your food and know about the sodium, sugars etc. You also have had a really nice day with your DH and dogs. You got outside. If you still want to go out and get more carbs... girl you have something you need to talk about. If not.... well, Everything in moderation. Breath. When you are ready you can jump back in. You are the master of the mantra! You are the crunch captain! I suddenly had a vision of captain crunch. LOL!

Everybody has an off day but don't let one day, one slice of cake, make you throw away all of the great work you've been doing! You have come much too far for that! You're always there for everyone else, today just be there for YOU!! I know that you can make it through today and take tomorrow as it come. That 0.6lb loss will turn into much morewhen your body is ready for it.

No offense, but to me it sounds not like you dont need a day off, but needed something to justify your not so good choices. If you are going to eat cake and pizza, then don't be surprised by the scale not moving.

This is the moment, this is the day, that pizza is the example of your choices. If you eat it/ate it, then look at what you can do to offset those choices--- don't throw in the towel for the day, off set it with activity and good choices.

Be present, HANG ON, dont give up on yourself SO easily. I am not even going to comment on the support from your husband--- These are the moments that will bring guilt later on, everyone makes choices at times that are not perfect, the KEY is how you deal with those choices--- make something good out of this and you will find pride in the end.

sorry to be harsh, I just would hate for you to let that cake and pizza have more power then you yourself have.

Good luck and kick the pizza to the curb unless you have a plan to stay in control. (did it fit in your daily calories? can you do soemthing to offset the extra calories??)
