Chiropractor Visit

Thursday, August 07, 2008

I went to the chiropractor and he said not to weight train for a little while (fine by me LOL)! I'm going for X-Ray's to see why my pelvis keeps dropping and cracking (hard to explain)! At least it happened in his office so he got to hear it! He said he's never heard something like that before! Should I be worried LOL! I asked if it could be from tight muscles and he said yes. I think it's because I'm always sitting at the computer or on the real or stationary bike so my quads are extremely tight. I just have to stretch much more than I do! We all know that I couldn't take myself away from the computer emoticon emoticon

Yikes! That sounds well, ouch! No strength training for a while is going to be a real bummer, right?

Curious symptoms. Somewhere in my memory there is a tweak. Maybe it is not your pelvis but whatever it is, good for you for following it through. Does it hurt when it happens? Or just annoying? I love your virtual walk by the way. I should take some pics as I am walking to remind me of how far I have come. I never seem to have a camera though. I am trying to motivate myself to do something but am dawdling. Your complaint makes me thing I will sit in the sauna for a bit. Guests arriving in an hour. They won't mind if I'm all hot and red, right? LOL emoticon

    Take care of yourself.

I also go to a chiropractor/holisitc health practicioner weekly, but he uses very gentle manipulations on me. It seems to help my painful back and neck (I too work at a desk) and ease my anxiety.

Have you tried yoga? It can be a wonderfully gentle way to become more limber.

Geez, I can't even imagine life without the computer!!!! That would be awful!

I am glad that the chiropractor heard what has been bothering you. Now you can have a break from weight training and maybe focus somewhere else ~ it might kick you out of this plateau!!!

I really love going to my chiropractor every week. I am a firm believer that my weekly adjustments help to keep me healthier and stronger. All of my children go also and they are very healthy ~ of course with boys and all of their rough housing around, they need to get adjusted weekly!! LOL!

We'll just have to start calling you Elastigirl!!! emoticon

    Have a fantastic day!
