getting on the right track....

Ok, with all the traveling I've done over the past month, and with all the get togethers, eating, drinking, and hanging out, I had managed to put on another 3 lbs! WRONG DIRECTION!!!

Anyway, I've made myself step it up, and I've been getting to the gym each day, M-F. I had been either doing 2 miles on the treadmill, alternating between the fastest I could walk, and a moderatley fast walk (alternating with songs on my Ipod), or I"d do 1.5 miles and then either arms or legs on the machines, but today I was at 1.25 miles, and my time was coming to an end (in the afternoons, you have to sign up for a 1/2 hr slot on the treadmills... normally I go in the morning, but I didn't today) and I remembered that the kickboxing class was starting up, so I did that for an hour. It was tough to do them back to back, but I feel so good that I did it, and I think I'll see about doing the treadmill in the morning and then a class in the afternoon. I can do that this week, and then I go back to work next week.

I also have a trip coming up the first weekend in September, and i want to be in better shape for that!!

Last Monday was when I was up 3 pounds, but I was back to my starting weight by thursday or friday. I'm hoping I've made some progress in the right direction. I'll check tomorrow and update.
