Doing good!

I'm actually very happy with myself. I've decided that I'm going to work out 5x a week, and I've been keeping up with it so far. Mpnday I did 1.25 miles and 1 hr of kickboxing (wrong date for that on previous blog). Tuesday I did the total body sculpting class (sort of a mix of step, free weights, weight bar, etc) and the teacher is pretty tough, but very encouraging I thought the class was 6:30, not 6, so I only got 40 minutes, but I was really sore afterwards! Wednesday (yesterday) I was really a bum. Just run down feeling, I guess not too happy about summer being over, just that blah, stuck in a rut feeling. Just bummed around the house most of the day, then I rememberd I told my dad I"d go fix something on the car wtih him, so I got my nails fixed, and then worked on the car. I was finished, and was sitting in the living room watching tv with my mom, and I noticed it was just afte 8:30, and hte gym's open till 10. I felt so unmotivaed, I just sat there and watched tv until 9, then I was kind of pissed at myself, so I ran to the gym, and got there in time to do 2 miles, in about 33 mintues. I still am walking quickly, no running, because It hink that will aggrivate my back more. Same feeling today. I was sore, and just didn't feel like going, but I made myself do it, and when I got there, there was no class! I did 2 miles on the treadmill (ave speed- 3.5, up to 4.0) and hten did different leg machines. It really helped to loosen up my legs, and htey actually feel better, but we'll see how it is in the morning.

My friend Laura and I have been sort of keeping up with each other, and motavating each other to get to the gym for our workouts, even if we don't feel up to it. She's all the way in Ohio, but it really helps to have someone to keep in touch with!!

Anyway, I'm just proud that I made myself go. Normally I'd just shut down and quit, but not this time. I really want to do something. I"m going to look at allt he good things I do, and not focus on my shortcomings, like I usually do.
