Six Weeks Later

Thanks SparkPeople for such a wonderful website. For the first time I have been able to lose weight and enjoy doing it. I have not denied myself any of my favourite foods just planned for those special times. I have learned the importance of just being aware of what I put in my mouth - and to be aware of the ratio of fat, carb and protein.
It was especially rewarding this week to be able to fit into a size 10 pant and size 8 jacket. In only 6 weeks I have been able to bring my weight from 147 + to 136+ plus 2 inches off my waist and off my hips.
Prior to SparkPeople I was walking 3 miles 3 times a week and often 5 - 8 miles on Sundays but never saw any weight loss. Now with the knowledge of what I eat and portion control, it has been easy.
Many of my friends are now doing SparkPeople and are happy with their weight loss.
