Vacation and Gardening

Sunday, October 12, 2008

Last Week I went on vacation to Whistler, BC. It's a quaint little village located in the coastal mountains of British Columbia. If anyone has ever visited before, the one thing you realize quite quickly is that you will walk
everywhere. I'm proud of my vacation decision this year, it forced me to walk to what I wanted to see. I also was able to take my 3 lb weights with me and work out in my room. My new exercise plan is so simple I can take it anywhere.

I arrived back home and the yard had pine-cones and small branches strewn in it. We had missed some bad weather while we were gone. Hooray. Anyhow, I decided to rack the yard and get things in order. The last time I did this task - I took many breaks and was winded easily. Today,
I worked for 2 hours straight and enjoyed every minute of it.

Thanks to Whistler walking and my strength training - I'm feeling much healthier than before.

Good Job Chris. So glad you enjoyed your vacation. The raking, well we had to do the same thing. Susie did a lot more than I did, but it finally got done. Later.........
