An Unexpected Night of Exercise...

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

My 2 dogs got loose last night around the complex. The little one came right back when my DH called her. The other one was running for 1 hour at 9 pm. He thought it was a game. We ran the other way and he chased us then took off as we got close to the door. He wouldn't even come for cheese which is his favorite. I think I got another mile in running around making sure he was okay. He knew enough not to run out in the parking lot, thank goodness! I finally saw a neighbor and asked if I could use his dog for a decoy. He thought I was crazy until I told him why. My dog ran right up to him. DH grabbed for him and fell on his face, but the second time was a charm. He carried this 50 lb. dog up to the 3rd floor! We thought our puppy would make a good decoy, but I guess she's old hat for him now. Have a great day everyone!

LOL, frustrating at the time I'm sure, but a great way to get in some cardio none the less

That would make a funny video. Lots of exercise for you too. I could never do that. My doxie will run across the road if she gets out and if I go after her she just keeps running. I have learned to go back inside and leave the door open enough for her to get in. It is scary tho because you never know what they will do.

That is hilarious!! Sorry Ruth, but I just envisioned it in my mind....I can't imagine carrying a 50 lb dog up three flights of stairs! What a great hubby you have!

An added bonus, just think of the extra exercise you got! On top of that, you were able to do it!!! I hope it doesn't happen again....

Have a great day, and thanks for the laugh!

This is so funny! Your hubby falling on his face sounds like a comedy routine. LOL!

I'm glad your dog knew enough to stay away from traffic...when mine gets out, she comes right back, but she almost always races across the street and back with no thought to cars. Scares me to death!
