Two weeks and hanging strong

Well... I've hung in there for two weeks... and the rewards are weight loss and two inches off my waist!!! Now that's something to be happy about!! I'm joining Weight Watchers @ Work today just to get some face-to-face encouragement and to also get to BE some encouragement to others. Will definitely be telling them about SP. It's a 12-week program and I know that if I hang with SP for 12 weeks while doing the weekly weigh ins at WW@W, I'll be back to where I was before I fell off the wagon.
I'm making friends at the gym. Mostly retired people. Wow, are they awesome!!! One guy, Jerry, is there every morning. Another couple (don't know their names yet) walk around the track while I'm doing my strength training and smile and wave every lap when they come past me. Ever notice how good your mood is when you exercise? Why do we sometimes fight or avoid it? It gives us energy and a great mood!!!???!!!
My routine is MWF I get to the gym by 6 am... a 15 minute mile around the track (8 laps) then 2x12 reps on 10 strength training machines. If I have time, I do four more laps at the end. On Tuesday and Thursday nights, I have water aerobics. There's also a class on Sunday if I can swing it. On Saturdays I walk. So, I'm getting the strength training (with smiles) and cardio (with splashes and smiles)... and it feels great!!!
I am so happy to be two weeks into this and feeling great. Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me on SP. The "atta girls" keep me going. Those are electronic smiles and they feel wonderful coming my way. If you respond to this blog, please know I've got a big grin on my face when I read it and you've brought some encouragement, warmth and kindness to a fellow sparkler!
