Planning for the future

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. That's a pretty tried and true weight loss motto. I've decided (with the coaching of my challenge team the Blue Bulls) to make my plan for the rest of the year. We're stepping into the holidays, where the average American gains 10-12 pounds. Add a week long cruise to that and I could be heading for trouble. Well, my plan is not to let that happen. My plan is to continue to lose through the holiday season.
My original goal when I joined Sparks was to be under 200 pounds by January 1st. Well, I'd have to lose 29 pounds in the next 60 days. Since this isn't the Biggest Loser and life isn't about how much weight you can lose how quickly, I've decided to make my goal something that can be tracked instead of a number on the scale.
That being said, here are my goals-
1)use the nutrition tracker every day, with the only exception being while I'm on the cruise. If I can't get internet, I'll still track my food. I'm not saying I won't go over my calories, but at least I'll be aware of what I'm doing.
2) exercise 5 times a week. Here's the interesting thing, four months ago if you told me I'd be offering to set an exercise goal of 5x's a week I'd have said you were nuts. I've got 3 kids. I don't have time for that! Well, when I joined Sparks I decided to follow the whole program, and that included exercise. Now I get up at 5am most mornings and go for a walk. On the days I can't get up and walk, I've got DVDs so I can exercise without leaving the house. The point is, you can do it if you want to, you just have to plan to make it happen.
3) Walk a 1/2 marathon! I signed up, I've been training, everything is ready to go!
4) Post a message on the Spark boards every day. Why? because the people who designed Sparks proves it works. They haven't lied to me yet, so why wouldn't I go with it? Besides, its fun.
So, basically, my plan is to continue to follow Sparkpeople to the best of my ability and watch the weight drop off!
