The Ups and Downs

I sure have noticed a down trend with a lot of us lately and I'm not sure if its the weather change or the time change but its affectting many of us. And its ok to have these moments and times but how we bounce back from them is even more important!! Because too quickly a small detour or bump in the road can lead to a bigger lapse or giving up all together, and we deserve better then that!! We are all on this site to lead a healthier lifestyle and sometimes we need reminded that it will not and can not happen overnight. This is a process that will take months and years to achieve and a lifetime to maintain-but we ARE worth it.
For myself it started with getting an impacted wisdom tooth and the fact that for 5 weeks I did not get any exercise in. It really got me down in the dumps and I could not figure out a way back- just could not find my motivation. But the thing I did right was not giving up on Spark and reading the blogs and staying active with my team. These ladies on my team go through the same things or much, much worse then what I'm going through and they hold themselves accountable and stay motivated and in turn it keeps me going even when I was not motivated. We are all in this together but we have to hold ourselves accountable and MAKE the time for ourselves to eat right and work out, because no one can do it for us!! So lace up those sneakers and find 30 minutes to take care of YOU and everyone around you will benefit from it.
The down time for me is over (thank goodness), and the ups are so sweet!! If you are having a rough time please remember that this too shall pass and that your UP is right around the corner-GO FIND IT!!
