It's only been 18 days since I started on this path to losing the poundage, and I'm already noticing a difference in how my clothes fit me.
For starters, my bra (which I think I may have mentioned before) now has to be hooked two rows in from the end WOOHOO! My pants are all loose, too, and my shirts don't need safety pins put into the openings between the buttons to keep them from showing skin!
I managed to follow CHOLA82's lead on "NO EXCUSES", (Thanks Crystal!) and I finally got myself on to my elliptical machine and did a 15 minute workout --this was after I did 37 minutes of "DONE girl dancing". LOL Once I started dancing, it felt so good, I didn't want to stop. I also managed to do some strength training for my arms.
When I was done, I went up to get washed up and to change into my jammies, and I decided to try on some of the clothes that I had to stop wearing for fear of them splitting open while I was wearing them. Lo and behold, I discovered that I fit into a handful of them!
I was delighted to find that the dress I made for New Year's eve two years ago fits again, along with a number of other of my favourites.
All the excitement led me to pulling out "the dress". I bought "the dress" almost four years ago. I couldn't pass it up. The price was right, and it fit -- snuggly -- all I needed to do was to lose 10 lbs. Easy!
I brought "the dress" home, hung it on my bedroom door as motivation to lose the weight. It hung there for three years before I quietly tucked it into my closet!
So, I figure, with the momentum from the success that I'm having right now, it's a good time to hang that dress back up on my door to see it every day. If I keep this up, I should fit into it for the new years party.
Here's a picture of "the dress" -- except mine is fuschia!
