Dancing the night away -- with my pedometer!
Thursday, November 20, 2008
I decided yesterday morning, that I should wear a pedometer to track how much I walk in a day.
I've had the pedometer sitting on my desk at the office for about 6 months now. I clipped it onto my waistband yesterday, and went about my day.
By the time I finished work, and made it to the regular hangout to dance, I had registered close to 1,500 steps for the day. Then I danced for about 90 minutes (with a break between some of the songs, but it added up to 90 minutes in the end). I had 10,240 steps recorded on the pedometer at the end of the day.
Today is going to be a "dragging my posterior" day at the office, but it was well worth it.
I think I might start using the stairs more regularly. I had a co-worker who would take the elevator to the sixth floor, and then walk up the stairs to the tenth floor.
Here's to another great day!
