The journey continues.....

Today I joined the new Spark Community Team. I'm so excited to have a new kick in the pants to keep me keeping on.
Although I started Spark almost a year ago, that is not the beginning of my weight-loss story. I've been at it for years, up and down, over and over, losing the same pounds time and again.
My top weight, quite a few years ago, was frightenly near three hundred pounds. Highest weight loss, again many years ago, was one hundred and forty pounds. Needless to say I've been about everywhere in between those two numbers over the years.
This time, I'm committed to NOT going "on a diet", which implies going OFF that same diet. This time, I'm committed to that elusive "life-style change" that makes the changes permanent.
My journey has been slow, but steady. And more importantly it's been far healthier than anything I've ever done before.
Exercise is a challenge for me. I confess that I absolutely detest it. Being active isn't an issue, but ....oh well...it's a challenge.....'nuff said.
The holidays will be difficult since we're going "home" for Christmas. I'm so excited to be spending the holidays with my family for the first time in ten years. I know the food intake will suffer, but I'll do the best I can then come back with a vengence when the holidays are over and I come back here to Florida.
For some statistics, I just celebrated my second anniversary of my second marriage. I had one daughter and three sons, sadly losing one of those sons almost three years ago. Grandchildren number seven...six girls and FINALLY one of the sweetest little boys who ever sat foot on God's green Earth. Oh..those seven young people are the lights of my life. Am I a proud Grandma...YOU BETCHA!!
So....that's about it. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I don't totally blow it while I'm gone.
Wishing all of you the happiest and warmest of holiday seasons.
Catch 'ya later,
