I have two posts today since I have the time and am on "vacation" this week. One week vacation at home!
The last two days have been very high for me in calories but overall my average for the week is still within range at 1618.3. My normal range is (was) 1370 - 1720 and that's at losing 1.5 pounds a week and burning 4800 cardio calories.
Friday I had an "incident" with 3 little chocolate bunnies and that put my calores up to 1744.
Then yesterday I had a super duper long day. I was at the Y before 8 am to take a strength & tone class, then I had yoga, then while dd had her swimming lesson I worked out on the et for 30 minutes.
After that dd and I went to the zoo and we walked around for 3 hours. It was a madhouse due to a parent's expo and 10,000 people! It was crazy! I didn't have a "real" lunch so I snacked on what I had brought - which was all healthy - but in the end it was too much. After the zoo we dashed off to a friend's house who was having a cookout/birthday party for her baby's first birthday. I ate very well there but did have a small piece of cake. :)
I had 1978, 16.8 protein, 22.5 fats, 60.7 carbs.
Now - here's something fun and exciting! This week I am on vacation and I working on my garden, my flowerbeds, etc. I have to finish edging, I need to mulch, pull weeds, turn in compost, till and plant. Can I get it all done? Well, I plan to do 3 hours a day of gardening and that's alot of work. Some days I know I'll get more in than others. The next 3 days are going to be in the upper 60's/lower 70's and sunny so I should be able to get a good amount of work done. Then I'm also helping my friend Frannie out at her house - and BOY does she need HELP! (LOL, I know she'll read this).
What I did was readjust my calories for this week based on all my extra work plus all my regular workouts. I know I'll hit 10,000 cardio calories burned (WOW!) but the diet plan calculator won't let me enter more than 9999. I put that in and looked at plans to lose 1 lb, 1.5 lbs, and 2 lbs. The numbers are amazing!
1 lb 2360 to 2710
1.5 lbs 2120 to 2470
2 lbs 1890 to 2240
After having eaten over 1900 calories yesterday I just don't know how in the world I am going to be able to eat that much! I want to make good food decisions and not freak out and start eating big macs and fries every day. I want to make sure that my percentages of protein, fats and carbs are good and not too high in the carbs. This means I need to focus on getting in all my fruits and veggies and eating enough protein.
My goal is to eat around 1800 - 1900 calories a day. Like I said - I just can't fathom eating more! At least not anymore. :)
I will need to plan my food everyday just like I do on a normal work day and I need to make sure I get all the work in that I think I'm going to. This week will certainly be interesting.
