2 pounds & Setting Realistic Expectations

2 Pounds Gone in my first full week back!
Can you tell I'm excited about that?
One of the things that I did learn this week is that I need to set realistic expectations for myself. In the past, because my daughter was younger and my work not so intense, I was able to devote a lot of time to exercise. I've been setting my goals thinking that I would be able to workout and burn as many calories as I had done my first time on SP. Well, things are a little different this time around so it's a little harder to find all the time that I want.
Here's what I am doing that I think is reasonable...
20-30 minutes every day on the elliptical. When the weather gets warmer and it's lighter outside I'll switch this to running outside.
2 strength classes a week at the Y (I teach on Saturday so I just have to go one more time)
2 aerobics classes a week at the Y (I teach on Wednesday & Saturday so covers that)
Total calories burned per week - 3500
Lose 1 pound per week
Eat w/in 1,470 - 1,820 a week (I average the whole week).
That's what I was able to do this past week and it's working - I lost 2 pounds!
So I hope that I am able to keep up this pace - and lose this weight. :)
