January is over...

I can't believe January is already gone...time flies! I had a pretty good January, though, and I'm really proud of myself. I usually start out strong and taper off...in fact, I was worried that that was what was happening to me during the last week...Throughout the month, I did my 30 minutes of cardio, and my bootcamp workout without fail...during the last week I was lucky to get the Bootcamp workout done. I decided it was just a busy week at work, and I was really worn out. I plan on starting February off strong!

Here's a little recap of January's accomplishments:

*I started the month weighing 185, and ended at 180!
*I'm proud to say that I stuck with the Bootcamp the entire month!
*I reached my cardio goal every week except the last week...for some reason I was worn out, and didn't accomplish more than the Bootcamp workouts during the last week.
*I exercised EVERY day in January except for 3 days...2 of those days I was sick!
*I drank my water EVERY day!

Not too bad! I had hoped to lose 10 pounds during the month, but I'm not sweating only losing 5...5 is GREAT! I know that there were things I could have done differently that would have enabled me to lose more than I did, but there is no point in beating myself up about it...I lost...that's the most important thing!

Here's my plan for February:

*I'll do 3 days/week of the 30 Day Shred
*I'll do 3 days/week WATP (or some variation of it...I don't usually follow the DVD)
*I'm going to do a Sparkpeople exercise video 6 days/week...I've never been very motivated to do the strength training part of working out, and this was a good, quick way to do it that I enjoyed!
*I'm going to continue to drink my water.
*Continue tracking my food...I am not always faithful with this...I tend to do it on Monday, and then I don't do it again for the rest of the week...I really do eat pretty much the same thing every day, so if I vary from my normal meals, I'll make sure I track it!

That's it...Now all I've got to do is stick with it and watch the pounds melt off!

    You did a great job! I'm so proud of you! Five pounds IS terrific, and you gained some muscles for all your effort. Way to go on the water, too! I know that's always been a challenge for you.
