Squeezing Out the Last Drop...

This week at work involved a lot of writing, so I'm not sure how much I have left in my creative thought construction reserves...hence the title.

Anyway, this has been a roller coaster kind of week, Spark-wise. My Monday weigh in revealed that I had lost another 1.5 pounds, which is right on track. I'm not expecting to lose more than that in one week since I'm relatively close to my goal and didn't have too, too much to lose in the first place. So, seeing that movement on the scale provided just the right amount of feedback to let me know that things were still going as planned.

Then, Wednesday, I was going to be seeing someone that knew I had been working on weight loss, and I wanted to tell her what the grand total was, so I weighed again. Probably NOT a good idea. Wednesday's weight was down another 2.5 pounds from Monday. This may seem like a good thing, but now I'm living with the fear that next Monday's weigh in won't be as friendly. (I think I'm feeling guilty for weighing an extra day this week.) Anyway, silly I know.

And then Wednesday, the poop hit the fan in the relationship department. Some issues that I had been actively "sweeping under the rug" for a long time somehow surfaced (somehow, as in PMS!!!) , and that required a 4-hour sob session with the boyfriend. Things seem to be somewhat stable now, four days later, but that kind of waylay is hard to forget.

Overall, this week, I didn't spend nearly as much time on Sparkpeople. There were days when I didn't even get my login points. I stayed fairly faithful to my calorie limits, but there were definitely days (like yesterday) when I was a little too generous with my cheats and treats!!

Oooh, oooh, oooh! I almost forgot the best part of the week! I got my hair CHOPPED, seriously, on Tuesday. It's been long-ish for the last couple years, and I went back to a style similar to the one in my profile picture. All the compliments have been great, but even better is how the cut makes ME feel. It's just more ME, know what I mean?

    Hey girl! Don't worry if your Monday weigh in isn't as friendly. It's ALWAYS good to see weight loss, and it doesn't have to be scheduled. So if it isn't as good today, just remember that you are still making progress. I'm glad you love the haircut, because you are right - how you feel about you is much more important than what anyone else can say!

    As for the bf, hope things continue to stay stable! Hang in there, and just be true to you and do what makes you happy - it'll all work out somehow!
