Pet Parents

It doesn't matter what kind of pet you have.
As long as you love them so.
Pets have feelings too, experience pain the
way we do.
They just can't tell us in our words, why
there feeling blue.
This is where we need to watch them
so we can get a clue.

A secret oath is taken on the day
you bring one home.
To care for, nuture, feed, and water
them. Give them lots of huggin and
lovin.
Bath them, brush them, give them a
good rub now and then.

Praise them when they do good,
with a treat or recognition.
Don't raise your voice when they
do bad, Be gentle and kind at all
times. They are sensitive too.

Teach them, show them, lead and
guide them.
They are part of your family now.
When you took the secret oath
saying, I do.
You became a pet parent, along
with responsibilities too.
