Shred - Day Two

This is going to be a quickie post because I should be making my way to work soon, but I wanted to document Day 2 of 30-Day Shred. Let me just start out by clarifying something: I am in no way gaga for Jillian Michaels. I've seen *maybe* two episodes of Biggest Loser, and I really just have to roll my eyes at her when I'm doing her workouts. If I were one of the two women behind her, demonstrating the moves, I would smack the smug right off her face every time she referred to me as "Buddy." (e.g. "It's hard, isn't it buddy?") *shudder*

Anyway, JM hating out of the way, Day 2 went fine. I've been doing Level 1 even though, like I mentioned yesterday, I thought of myself as a little more hardcore than that. With all those push ups (30 seconds of non-stop push ups X 2), I'm glad to be at the lowest level! The only thing that made Day 2 harder than Day 1 was being so SORE from yesterday! I guess I don't do squats on a regular-enough basis because my quads were like, "WTF, man?!?" I've been waddling all over the place at work. When I tell people that I'm doing the Shred, I make sure to tell them that I haven't joined the JM cult - because seriously that's what it feels like the way some people compare her to JC himself. LOL.

    I hope you don't mind, but I had to laugh out loud when I read your blog! I am not a fan of her either, and I had this hilarious image of you waddling around! That being said, I think you are doing great, and if you can finish the shred, you could kick Jillian's butt all over the place! Keep it up girl, you're doing wonderful! Happy Hump Day!
