Besides Weight Loss...

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

I would love to be able to just pull on a pair of pants and a light colored t-shirt and not have that roll on my stomach. I would love to be able to take both my dogs for long walks. I would love to sit on the floor for more than 10 minutes to play with my nieces and nephews. I would love the arthritis in my hips to feel better because there is less weight that they need to hold up.

Good post, Ravon. It's helpful to think of goals other than the number on the scale. Personally, I'd like to get fit enough to take rowing lessons. I love the water and found someplace near me where you can sign up to take part in adult rowing teams. But right now, in addition to being too heavy, I'm pretty sure I couldn't keep up. When I can sign up for those lessons and get out on the water, I'll know that I have accomplished a huge goal.

Thanks for keeping us thinking! Take care, Josie emoticon

Little steps will get you where you want to be! I remember wanting to run on the beach with my grandkids and the days I have done it now are precious to me (and hopefully to them). I remember wanting to wear something sexy and then wearing it and feeling like a princess or............ I am not exactly where I want to be number wise, but health and looks are really great. You will be here too! Just keep taking the little steps and knowing where and why you are going there! Carol (CMY)
