Low GI Rocks!

Well, I can honestly say that I am on my way to a new lifestyle. I started following a low GI diet the day after I saw my doctor and he diagnosed me with PCOS. I came home, did some research and found out that an underlying cause of PCOS is insulin resistance. I then found out that the best way to help your body metabolize food properly while have insulin resistance is to follow a low GI lifestyle. My husband and I bought a book the next day and we were off. I have now lost about 10 pounds (depending on the day - sometimes more or less) and my husband has lost about 15 pounds. We are finding it a great way to eat and have even inspired our son to think about the choices he makes before he starts eating.

I am so proud of all of us! emoticon
