A glimpse at the first night of bootcamp

So last night we get to class and being the first class the beginning was chaotic as the trainer rushed to do measurements and get preliminary weights and information. Then the torture began.
The trainer said 10 minutes of spinning, but we all know it was at least 15. Right off the bike and into a circuit of push ups, squats, bicep curls, shoulder presses, dead lifts and who knows which other exercises because there was not a break for a second and I think I had oxygen deprivation.
30 minutes have passed and then we hear the words, "Back on the bike!" As the spin circuit is progressing we hear the words, Last climb, at least 10 times. Yeah, she kept adding to the circuit as we were spinning our butts off wishing this would end. Back on the floor to repeat the strength training circuit. followed by a combination of ab tortures that I have never seen combined before.
OUCH. Another 40 minutes have passed and I am thrilled it is done.
I am truely amazed how much my body has rised to the occasion of this trainer. Sometimes I can not complete a set without switching to a modified exercise, but 95 % of the time I am pushing myself to do it all and keep up.
Sweat. OMG, Yes we sweat. Then Amy and I treat ourselves to a saunna. A really long one. Thank God for Aims. She has helped me so much by pushing me along with the challenge. I see her struggle with her Fibro and still keep pluggin away and if that is what she is doing hurting, it makes me see there is no space for being a whimp. Thanks Aims. No room for complaining because no one wants to hear it anyways.
I laugh to think that i am paying for this torture, but when i am wearing a tank and I move my arm and see a muscle where I only saw batwings before, I know it is worth it.
Today is just a day of cardio. Tomorrow a whole new torture is awaiting us.
