It is pouring rain outside but the sun is shining at my house!

Monday, March 30, 2009

First I want to thank people for the prayers, the lovely notes, and the spark goodies. My weekend was bad, but there was something good that happened to me every day. Things could have been so much worse.
I have some things to celebrate:
1. I worked out! both bad days I worked out.
2. I talked with Amy and sparkfriends and did not wallow in chips,
chocolate or anything else that could have hurt me.
3. My daughter and I had a long heart to heart and I think that she
is going to be ok. When she told her boyfriend that we were
willing to give him another shot, he tried to put stipulations in
the deal and she told him where to go. THANK GOD!!!!!
4. My family loves me. My whole family. Siblings, husband,
children, and Uncles. Thank you all for the support.

My glass is half full and maybe the negative half of the glass landed in my hair yesterday and it got washed out in the shower. Life is good and the sun is shining on me, even though it is raining outside.
I am going to hit the gym tonight and try that interval workout that I was not able to do yesterday to my hightest capacity. emoticon emoticon Today I will kick butt!

I am so glad that you are feeling more upbeat and can see all the positives that were around you this weekend. It would be sooooo easy to have the world's greatest pity party for yourself and quit. But you're not that kind of girl, nu uh, no way!

I love the image of the negative half of the glass being what landed in your hair....I'm still trying to figure out a way of saying that they empty half was your shampoo....but it just isn't working.

Enjoy your workout, and the rest of your day.

PS - so glad your daughter has some of her wise momma's smarts - enough to tell the exBF he is OUTTA HERE!

    Hi Jeanne and Gals,
First, can I tell you how very proud of my sister I am, she rocks. I'm glad she was able to see the positive in her weekend from hell. She really amazed me in her ability to keep focused and moving. Jeanne, you pointed out a lot of positive, but now I want to add to that.

    1. She called me and asked for help and accepted it!!! And I agee with Spark friends - it would have been so easy (on both days) to go hide and wallow. You didn't, you reached out, ate healthy and climbed a 1/2 a mountain.

    2. She was able to express herself to her trainer and utilize the resources around her.

    3. She was able to make time for herself - physically, spritually, emotionally, etc. and she was able to tell her family that she needed it and she wouldn't feel guilty about it.

    4. she exercised through tears in her eyes and shake in her hair.

    5. She blogged

    6. She reached out to her spark friends.

    7. She supported her family

    8. She researched more places to hike.

    And so much more.

And the "arch" well, it's really called the "Arc" and it's a machine that is a mixture of a stepper and an eliptical - here's a link to a pic of it - I couldnt' seem to copy and paste the pic. http://fit4sale.com/images/cybex-ar

I love ya Jeanne - you're the best
