Going for a walk today

Wednesday, April 01, 2009

So the sun is shining and I heard that it is going to rain for the next couple of days. So this morning while waiting for the third day care cherub to get dropped off, I am going to take the little ones for an hour walk. Then i can skip the gym tonight and enjoy some family time.
My mother in law is home from the hospital. I stopped at their house yesterday to make sure that Dad was ok and to check the med changes. He did not understand that there had been an adjustment when they released her. I also showed him how to use the volume adjustment on the phone. So that was a productive visit. Until I get a call asking me how to fix his phone again. I know he will because he is not gadget savvy, but he is gifted in many other areas.
My oldest daughter is seeing her x in not the best light the last couple of days. Many negative nasty comments, followed by comments of desperation. She told me today that she was so sick of his sh#t. Only in a way that a 17 year old can say it. :)
I am feeling so much less stress. Maybe the scale will move this week. If not, I am still over the top with my 25 lbs weight loss. Things are so different on this journey. I am not as anxious about the weight coming off NOW like I have been in the past. I just keep telling myself that it took more than a day to put it on it will take more than a day to take it off.
I am off to eat breakfast and start my day. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I am always trying to find ways to work exercise into my day so I don't have to give up my evenings. Lately, I haven't done it during the day OR in the evening! I've got to start logging my exercise time better so I'll be more aware of when I miss.
I'm glad your MIL is back home. I'm sure she is more comfortable there.
My son is 23 (I married his Dad when he was 19). I know what you mean when it comes to the dating drama of that age. It can truly be a soap opera. Hopefully he will move on soon and leave her be.
I wish I could stress less about the weight. I know I'm healthier than I was a year ago, but I'm not down as many lbs as I would like to be. Good for you on the positive selftalk! emoticon
