April 4th was my 23rd birthday. I had an amazing morning. My dog (who's first birthday was also April 4th!) and I went on a hike together and it was AWESOME. I hiked up and ran down and it felt great.
My mom called later in the afternoon to tell me my Grandfather's wife passed away that morning. Needless to say, my day went from perfect to very sad. I'm close with my grandpa so it was hard for me to think about how he was dealing with the news.
The next day, we had a birthday bbq at my parents' house and I felt like I gained 5 pounds eating vegan mac-n-cheese, vegan chili, vegan chocolate cake, soy chocolate ice cream, bbq'd portabello mushroom burgers, chips, and vegan chocolate chip cookies. It was a fun day full of food.
I ate well and exercised a lot throughout the week, but then drove out to Vegas with my family for the funeral on Thursday. Thursday - Sunday, I probably had 2500 calories a day and didn't exercise one bit. It was a hectic weekend and I was scared to weigh myself this morning. When I finally did, I was 138.0. Last week I was 135.8. This morning I was really expecting to weigh at least 140, so even though I gained this week, I'm ok. I know there's no point in stressing about the extra weight. I'm already back on track and I'm excited about losing the 2.2 pounds I gained.
