Me vs. The Scale

So, tomorrow is supposed to be the big weigh in. I don't think I'm going to do it! Here's why...

It scares me! It's worse than the boogie man! I have worked really hard the past couple weeks. I've made smart food choices (with a couple exceptions) and exercised crazy hard! What if the scale doesn't want to reward me for these efforts??? I don't know if I can handle that. Let me explain why I don't think I can handle that. I dieted awhile back while I was deployed. I ate egg white omelets, chicken breasts, and salad. I busted my tail in the gym. I weighed in and had not lost as much as I thought I should have. I lost, but not enough to satisfy me. So what do I do??? I run to Burger King and get a Whopper w/ cheese combo...King Sized! WTF??? What is wrong with me? It's just so discouraging. I can't handle discouraging! So here's the deal...

I am very proud of how hard I've worked the past couple of weeks. I feel better. I feel stronger. My husband is noticing results and won't stop calling me sexy! :) So, if I KNOW that I'm doing good for my body by exercising daily and making smart food choices...why do I need the scale? I don't think I do. Not now anyways. I will battle the scale on May 1st...and that bad boy is going DOWN!!! Bring your "A" game, because it's ON! emoticon

    You are so right about the scale. I actually quit weighing in for awile. I knew that I was making progress but it's foucusing so much on the number that really hurts you when it doesnt say what you want. Keep up the good work, you are doing an amazing job!

    If you notice changes, if your husband sees changes...and they all feel like they're for the better....then I would say don't get on the scale! Health and fitness are more than the numbers you see on the scale.
    I'm a daily weigher...but it's more to keep pounds from sneaking up on me than to see the needle go down...in fact I plateau for a couple of months at a time after every 4-5 lbs weight loss. But I do notice changes in how my body feels and in how my clothes fit even when I'm exercising and watching what I eat, regardless of what the scale says.
    So do what feels best for you!
