One week is never exactly like another. This past week was extra hectic.
I forgot to mention last week that I had my last visit with my Psychologist that's approved. I've learned a lot of Biofeedback techniques & a lot about myself. Not to say I can't go back to him just that I have reached all our original goals.
March of Dimes fundraising has ruled my life this week. Monday, was our Golf Tournament with a dinner to follow. I'd never even been to a golf course before Monday. It was fun to work & to ride around in the golf cart. At the dinner that night, one of the parent's who adopted one of our babies came & talked. It was a great reminder of why we do what we do in the NICU.
Thursday, was our silent auction. Here's a pic of the last few minutes:
Talk about Crazy!
Here's the "basket" I won:
I'm giving it to my sis for Graduation. It has $150 worth of gift cards. I just have to hide it from her.
Yesterday, was the March for Babies. I did the 5 mile walk with my sister in 1.5 hrs. The crowd was huge. Here's a pic of the line of walkers:
She wants to do walks more often. I told her the blister on my heel has to heal first.
Last night, I went to the wedding of a friend of the family. Here's the top of there cake:
Yes, I ate a piece & it was good. I figure Icould afford it after a 5 mile walk.
Did I mention that I even managed to work this week. LOL
Tomorrow, I have my third Stellate Ganglion Nerve Block. I'm not really looking forward to it. My neck hurts so bad the next day. I am, of coarse, having it so that I might get a little bit more ROM in my hand & that I am looking forward to.
Accomplishments this past week:
1. A 5 mile walk for March of Dimes in 1.5 hrs
2. Drinking water & not drinks with caffeine
3. Fitting into a 2XL t-shirt (I was panicked when I found out the 3XL t-shirts hadn't come in for the walk. I was shocked when I fit into the 2XL t-shirt)
Food for thought:
