So, I positive-talked myself into working out yesterday. It felt GREAT! I went to a friend's gym (as a guest) and was using the machines to train my arms. Guess what I noticed? A MUSCLE. I real one. I could actually SEE it. That was really empowering because my arms have been a source of frustration and embarassment for the last several years. They seem to really stand out in pictures. I feel good about making progress on them.
I also ran a "fitness test" on the treadmill. Really, it was little more than running at 4.0 on a 10% incline for 5 minutes. But it said my performance was "excellent." I wouldn't have been able to finish that test a year and a half ago. At all.
While I was jogging, I glanced into the glass and saw a pair of legs. They were mine. And my first thought WASN'T, "Ugh. Those are fat and gross." They looked... well, not bad. Not bad at all.
AND I stepped on the scale this morning-- it said 126.0! I'm not recording it because it's unofficial, but it's motivation to stay on track this week so I'll actually get to log some progress!
Oh-- and the boyfriend is AT A JOB this morning :-D
It's a great day!
