My cholesterol

Friday, May 08, 2009

about a year ago when I went for annual check up at the doctors I was told that my cholesterol was up. I went back for a checkup last summer/early fall and rechecked it and told it was high. I kinda worried a bit but going into the new school year with the kids and then the holidays I didn't give it too much thought. When I finally decided enough is enough about the weight I had gained over the years ( I was about 125 lbs when I graduated high school in 1991, and about 150 after I joined the ARMY and bootcamp and all). When I decided to get the gut GONE I completely cut out the fast food lunches and fatty-fried foods. This week I went back to the doctor and he was impressed that I ACTUALLY, FINALLY started losing weight and I am extremely happy to report that my blood work came back with a normal cholesterol level. Thinking about it and my weight loss makes me excited to know that I am improving!
