Month 5 and feeling myself slide

Today is a day of recomitting. Not because I have stopped exercising. NOt because i have found the magic wand and I have no more weight to lose. Because I am comfortable. You know what I mean?
this is my list of things that I am sliding on:

1. Water. 5 glasses is ok, why do I need 8+
2, stretching.
3. measuring, this looks like 4 oz...
4. tracking. Why am I not tracking in my food journal????

This is the month that I recommit to those 4 important things. They are the key to the 30 I have lost this year and I have 48 more pounds to go. So it is time to recommit to what works.
Day one is today. I have my journal out. I have PT tonight for my foot. I am good.
Tonight I do not have any cardio or w. lifting planned. I did this to give my foot a rest after PT tonight.
Here is to a strong Monday full of hope!!

    Very commendable! I think it's a series of waves, doing really well, then lapsing a little; you're wise to catch it before it deteriorates too far.

    I can't maintain perfection, but I can keep improving a little.

    Great thinking on your part! We do get complacent and forget to do all those little things that add up. This weekend was crazy for me and I just gave up on Sunday afternoon. But, like you, I said "enough" to the stupidity and planned out my food for today, making sure it was all weighed and measured. (just because I plan to run today doesn't mean I can eat like crazy!)

    Hope the PT went/goes well for you - I want to see you out there running! :)

    WOW, I have talked to a few folks...and it appears that I am not the only one that woke up today, got on the scale and said..HEY...where did the focus go?? I've also signed up for the recommiting! Much needed! Weekend of late night snacks, Chinese food, and skipping meals. Great blog!! emoticon emoticon

    A day of recommitting for many. I too will recommit, cuz I have enjoyed far too many things this past w/e - chicken WITH SKIN, bacon, appletinis, caramel popcorn. Recommitance all around. Love you bean!!!!

    I'm recommitting today, too!

    Back on the wagon- no more lunches out with my office. They know I'm on track, and I know I'm on track. I will politely say NO THANK YOU when lunch time comes around and they ask me if it's "Pizza Day" or if I want Mexican food across the street.

    I also am with you on the measuring part. It might be time for me to drag the food scale out and get a reality check. :)
