Musically motivated.....memori
es resurected

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

Sooo I haven't jumped back on board with quite the intensity that I'd hoped to.......lots has been goin' on in my world....school, things going on with my son, injuries (the latest is some BIZARRE first time lower back PAAAIN) and massssssive fatigue (I think it's the meds my doctor gave me for major panic attacks)....anyway....I've been trying to get my food more in check....by more in check I mean eating chicken salad with wheat thins as my carb........oatmeal with a fruit and protein powder for bfast and natural pb/jam on low carb whole wheat tortilla.

That's about as good as I've been able to get myself to do lately..........workouts have been daily walks or bike rides.....it's something but not nearly enough............but I'm trying to get my head and heart back in the game.

I know music motivates me almost more than anything soooo I've decided to revist my old workout playlists on my Ipod and my old blog and it's two playlists that helped me get it all happy and forward motivated last spring. Soooo I'm trying to use the memories to get me back and in the forward swing I had last spring when I was unstoppable.

Funny, I forgot to take my meds last night and low and behold I'm not tired today.......alittle anxious (so I took one of the meds just not the main one)......it's kind of an experiment.....I think I may begin to cut back and see how things go.......I actually took a nap on Mother's Day afternoon for 2 hours!!!! For me, that generally only happens if I am sick and coming down with a fever....not this time though.............so I am seeing what happens today.

I just finished cooking about 10 chicken breasts to make chicken salad out of....that's always been a good thing for me diet wise.........filling, satisfying and good sources of protein and fat.

Slowly getting there.............trying not to do too much carbs that aren't fiber rich, thus counting out the negative affects they have on my blood sugar and insulin production..............I honestly dread the whole concept of cooking these days..........just sorta burnt out on it after soo many months of cooking 6 meals a day.............I'm gonna go with the KISS rule.....and just Keep It Simple Sweetie.................

So that's what's up here......maybe the music will help move me down to the fitness center...and being cautious of my lower back, maybe I'll actually lift a weight :)
