I got up this morning at 4:30 to get my walk in.

Monday, June 01, 2009

So this morning I set my alarm clock for 4:30 am. I put my clothes out last night.
I got up, dressed myself and drove to Coolidge park. all set for my WALK. My friend Kelly met me there.
Mile one done. Stopped and stretched. Then onto mile 2. Nice mile. 30 minutes done, 2 miles finished. At this point my foot is the slightest bit achey. Ugg. Mile 3...Halfway done it and Kelly notices that pace is dropping and I am limping. Damn.
Mile 3 is done, lets just do the halfmile loop and then we will call it a morning because at this point I have already talked with my early morning drop off who will bringing the tot to the park for drop off. We are almost done the half and I look at Kelly and say, " We need to go slower. My foot is stinging." She was thrilled I asked her to slow down. I was Mad Mad Mad.
I feel like Kate. watching the runners in the park and wanting to try. Wanting to sprint. Wanting to MOVE! Soon, Soon Soon.
Therapy tonight. Then I will ice. I am way better than I was a month ago. Stay focused.
I will try to patient. I will try to listen to my body. Worst case scenario is that I walk the run portion of the tri. I do not want to do that.
:( Jeanne

Oh Jeanne, I love you!!! You are so amazing and have really done some wonderful things. I love that you keep blogging and not letting ANYTHING stop you from this goal. All the planning and getting up early and listening to your body and LIVING!!! Gotta remember it's ok to live. Seemed I had an easier time with that in the beginning and now I beat myself up a bit for it, grrrrr. You have so many wonderful ppl supporting you (and I'm only talking about SP, never mind in our at home world.) You are my inspiration.
