Up on the scale but yet a success

Sunday, June 21, 2009

We had a house full of family yesterday for grilling, sticking our feet in the kid's wading pool and visiting with lots of laughter. To add to that the Navey Blue Angels were flying above our house so it was a day of celebration. I knew going in to it that there would be food items I do not usually consume on a daily basis and I planned for it. I consumed about 150 calories over and way too much sodium and it showed on the scale this morning. I did not panic though because I knew alot of the gain is water...no big deal. A few days ago i would have freaked out but after my pity party the other day, so many fellow Sparkers slapped me with my own flipflops and brought me back to reality.

My plan is to push the water today to help in getting rid of the excess water. i will also really really watch the sodium intake today and simply go back to my healthy Spark eating. Since I know that my weight loss is an ongoing work in progress and my tracker shows almost no loss since Sparking I will persevere with my dreams.

My dream is to above all, form a healthy lifestyle with eating and adding fitness to every day life. I want to feel like a normal person and I want to really like myself and who I am. I will not let a number on the scale dictate how I feel. I took that one step back yesterday but will proceed in taking two steps ahead today. SparkPeople is teaching me how to accomplish that skill and it feels amazing.

eta...To me the feeling of exhilaration is when the Navy Blue Angels fly over your house banking to the point where you can see the pilots' helmets. Ya Baby!

you always have such a great outlook on things! Luv it! The air show is so much fun, I'm so sad i missed it this year.
Well the fat flush plan is basically clean eating. It also has u drinking lots of lemon water and cran-water. the cran water is just unsweetened cranberry juice mixed with water. i like it very tasty! It does however cut out caffeine and alcohol. That was hard for me the first three days but i felt amazing after that. For the food part it is fresh fruit, veggies , fish , and of course chicken. I pretty much ate anything without ingredients. Its all about cleaning the liver. Boy, i bet i have a dirty lil liver after this weekend!!!! I gota go , il try and find a better description for ya

Well, a healthier lifestyle is one the way. One step, one second & one day at a time. My girlfriend is a perfect size you know, 4 & can turn down anything foods except sweets. But she is a rock & I try so hard to mimic her. I can not be her. So here's my plan, eat more fruits & veggies. grilled lean meats over fried. Lower sodium, plenty of rest & plenty of water. You can do it, we all can do it. It normally takes 3 weeks to get to where my girlfreind is. I was there once, a couple of years ago, I wanna go back. I looked good in pictures emoticon looked good in my clothes emoticon , I didn't have to wear a cover up! Just keep working at it. I'm leaving 160ville in a couple of weeks. . . . .

    Bank on that!

    Thanks for sharing!

    Blessings,

I agree Laurie. I want to feel like a normal person too. This journey for me can't be some crazy fitness and eating plan either. Like you said, "form a healthy lifestyle with eating and adding fitness to every day life." That's my goal too! We will get there!

    Enjoy your Sunday!
