My 3+ mile walk at 5:30am

I decided that due to the extreme heat and humidity I would try and switch my walk from late afternoon to EARLY morning. I had absolutely no problem get up at 5:20am and get equipped for my Nike + Ipod 60 minute walk. I had no idea how many folks are up at that time doing the same thing. I still sweat my ass off but it felt great and I was no where near as wiped out since it was cooler. DUH!!!! Yea I know...takes me awhile to figure these things out.

The added advantage to this early morning jaunt is the endorphins were still oozing around lunchtime. I was just flying around the office being obnoxiously happy and it was fun to annoy my coworkers. That was an added bonus.

I did enjoy the feeling of accomplishment and the knowledge that I didn't even have to think about getting my mega-walk in for the rest of the day. Oh and while you are walking so early, by the time you are fully awake you are at least halfway done!!!

So for any of you reading this blog entry and are having difficulties getting your walks in...give early morning a try. I did and am very happy I did.

    this is great! I actually decided tonight that I am going for a good walk early morning tomorrow since I can't get to the gym in time after work... Looking forward to it! :)
