Although the title suggests that this is a progress report, that would involve actual progress. The last month has left me actually up a pound or two, which is disappointing, but considering the complete and utter lack of motivation and exercise, I'm surprised I've maintained that well.
The last two weeks (June 29th - July 13th) I was on Vacation from work. I couldn't really afford to go anywhere this year, so I simply took 2 weeks off and did whatever a felt like doing, which as it turned out, wasn't much lol.
Well that's not true, really. I had friends in town and we went to the Slayer/Megadeth show, which was a ton of fun. Not normally my type of music, but thats ok. We had floor tickets so it was pretty crazy at times. While they where in town we also hit the wave pool at Village Square, which kind of blew my mind, these are not the type of friends what would do something like that haha. On the Monday of that week we also hit the zoo, which was a ton of walking.
The Weekend after that I had my Mom in town and my Grandpa tagged along as she wanted to see the horse shows and stuff down at the stampede, so I did spend a few days down there, I didn't do so well with the mini donuts and chili cheese fries :(
Somewhere in there I did manage a nice long walk from Edworthy Park to Princess Island and then back on the opposite side of the river, was a lot longer than it looked, but I really enjoyed it, other than my ipod running out of juice in the first 10 minutes. I've honestly never been to Edworthy Park, its nice, I like it.
So over all it was a fun/relaxing time off, which if you take out the trips to Fat Burger, Diary Queen and the Stampede, would have even been relatively healthy.
This past Monday I started back at work, which also meant getting back into routine, which I really need it seems. So food wise this week has been great, and I've hit the gym the last 4 lunch hours in a row. After not running for a couple weeks, IT SUCKED, HARD. Monday all I could do was 5:5's, which is a far cry from my usual run @ 4.9 for 45 mins, that I had worked myself up to. I tried again yesterday, but could only get up to 10:5's, which is better, so next week I should be back to where I was.
Oh, I also broke down and signed up for the learn to run thingy at the Running Room (I just can't seem to run outside (5-10 mins tops), even though I can do almost an hr straight on treadmill), which starts next Thursday! Kinda nervous to be honest..
