Another week in my life: work, little sleep, pain & belly dance.

Just another week in my life. I worked, got little sleep, had a lot of pain & made it to my belly dance class.
I saw my pain doc on Wednesday. He is still trying to get me in to see another neurologist & I'm waiting for an appointment for airrosti. I'm still not completely sure what that is, but I'll try anything at this point. I'm still not sleeping very much so he changed up my meds. Hopefully, they will even out soon & I'll be sleeping again.
I'm still getting use to the new SUV. I've never driven a new vehicle. On my way back to the hospital from my doctors office, the gas light came on. I'm just not use to the gages yet. I was sitting in heavy traffic & had no idea idea where to find a gas station. I finally found one & then figured out that I had left my bank card at home & I had no cash. My cell phone was even dead. So I had no choice, I had to try & make it back to work in heavy traffic having no idea how much gas was in my car. I made it back to work & borrowed enough money for gas to make it home. That was a big enough adventure for me for the week.
I've done many random acts of kindness, but I've never been on the receiving end of one until this past week. I was in the gift shop at work with a co-worker & looking at a pink bunny I thought would be nice for my great niece that is on the way. I said I'd have to think about it & put the bunny down. A lady I've never met was standing next to me. After a conversation about where I work (in the NICU) & her past experience working with Care Flight & occasionally transporting neonates, she left. I was still in the gift shop with my co-worker when a volunteer in the gift shop came up & told me the bunny had been paid for. I have no way of thanking her. I'll have to pay it forward somehow. Here is a pic of the bunny:
Last night, I went to see my little sister perform at Kismet. It's a belly dance show that is put on locally several times a year with dancers from all over the metroplex. She performed with the Wings of Isis. Here is a pic of her on stage; she's the one in the middle.
Positives this week:
1. I lost 1 pound this week.
2. I'm drinking at least 64 oz of water a day.
3. I'm staying in my calorie range.
