As I mentioned yesterday, I've lost 20 pounds since May 17, mostly due to a buddy I hooked up with on another diet-related site. We discovered we both had the same book -- The Beck Diet Solution! I had ordered mine months before (and set it aside like every other diet book), but when he mentioned he was going to use the steps in the book, I got mine out and we began going through the steps together. His name is ID_Vandal, and if you are familiar with the book, I hope you will join us as we continue our journey!

He's also a very motivating and upbeat guy, so check out his blog.

So now I am READY to continue the march down to my goal weight! The first 20 pounds were fairly easy because I am a teacher and was off for the summer. Hey, nothing to do but concentrate on *me*.

But now I've got to continue my weight loss with a few more balls tossed my way -- classes, papers, meetings, other obligations, etc. I'm a bit scared but I FEEL I CAN MEET THE CHALLENGE. I've learned the skills to manage this!

Tomorrow I have to give an 8-hour computer training to the rest of the faculty, which is very intimidating for me. I've known about it since last May which is one of the main motivators I had for losing weight. Being 20 pounds thinner DOES make me feel more confident. So wish me luck, and I'll be back to check in tomorrow.

    Hey TG

Hope the training went well - I'm sure it did!! I'm still searching around the website - this is pretty awesome and LOTS of activity and I see you've dived right in!!

Anyway I'm at work so I better get to work! I'm down 1/2 pound for the week. Not great but after my Saturday meltdown I'll take it.

YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY! I'll check in tonight to see how you did
