As I mentioned yesterday, I've lost 20 pounds since May 17, mostly due to a buddy I hooked up with on another diet-related site. We discovered we both had the same book -- The Beck Diet Solution! I had ordered mine months before (and set it aside like every other diet book), but when he mentioned he was going to use the steps in the book, I got mine out and we began going through the steps together. His name is ID_Vandal, and if you are familiar with the book, I hope you will join us as we continue our journey!

So now I am READY to continue the march down to my goal weight! The first 20 pounds were fairly easy because I am a teacher and was off for the summer. Hey, nothing to do but concentrate on *me*.
But now I've got to continue my weight loss with a few more balls tossed my way -- classes, papers, meetings, other obligations, etc. I'm a bit scared but I FEEL I CAN MEET THE CHALLENGE. I've learned the skills to manage this!
Tomorrow I have to give an 8-hour computer training to the rest of the faculty, which is very intimidating for me. I've known about it since last May which is one of the main motivators I had for losing weight. Being 20 pounds thinner DOES make me feel more confident. So wish me luck, and I'll be back to check in tomorrow.
