The doritos got me last night.....

So after eating really well all day, I walked into the kitchen when I got home and saw the bag of doritos on the counter. I tried to resist, but in I dove :( I felt so guilty afterwards, but I went for a long walk (4 miles) with my daughter and felt so much better. Today is a new day :)

    ya did good with the walk afterward. the salty, crunchy stuff is the hardest for me to resist, yummmmmmm, i haven't had doritos in a while. hmmmmmmmm, maybe i'll have some popcorn later.

    Way to stay positive! Plus, you shouldn't even feel too guilty since you went on a long walk after eating the doritos. And like you said---today is a new day! :) Hope you have a great one!

    Girl, resisting temptation is so hard. I went through the same thing the other night myself, I fought temptation and kicked it in the butt. I figure if my son is on a strict diet right now, why should I allow myself to snack at night if he can't. I started feeling guilty for even thinking it. So fight temptation and keep thing's out of sight that you would normally not like to ruin your progress with. Keep it up, your doing a great job.

    You have a great attitude that today is a new day. I have done the same thing before and then the rest of my week is bad because I have always been the " Start the diet on Monday" person. Now, my new way of thinking is just like you...tomorrow is a new day, and I will make it a great one. Good luck on your journey!

    i have experienced the same problem as you before, i eat really well all day and then the late night cravings (sweets for me) kicks in. it is good that you walked extra long to make up for it, but i have learned that if you have a craving for something not so healthy, its better to eat it in the morning, rather than to ignore it and let it hit you in the evening. for me, if i ignore my cravings, and finally allow myself to have something unhealthy, i tend to binge eat. so if you get the cravings, eat them early in the day in moderation. but like you said today is a new day, and you can succeed. good luck with making all your goals!

    Well, it sounds like a wash to me... doritos then the walk... you are off the hook! get those doritos out of sight! Don't tempt yourself... either don't buy them or put them in a cabinet... you were smart. You didn't beat yourself up about it, you took a walk... how great is that??

    Keep Up the great work!!! You CAN & WILL do this!!
