A blank mind leads to jibberish

Thursday, August 13, 2009

As I am working my way through my workout routine, my mind tends to wander here and there. Sometimes, I'm surprised by the places it takes me. Tonight so many random things were running through my head. I was watching my usual collection of Hindi songs - tonight was songs from Hum Tum and Dhoom. There is such a problem listening to these songs while I'm riding my bike. They get me really pumped up and energized and I find myself trying to dance while I'm pedaling. Sometimes, its hard not to get down and start dancing. I'm so uncoordinated though. I see it on T.V. and I can do the moves in my head, but when it comes to reality, no. I should be careful, otherwise, I'm going to find my backside on the floor instead of on the bikeseat.

After I logged my miles for the day today, I realize I crossed another milestone - I've completed my second - one hundred miles. I'm more than halfway to my goal of Little Rock. I should be there by the end of next month. It will be exciting to determine my next destination and also how to document the first stop along my route!

There's not much else roaming around in this head of mine tonight. I'm just excited to have gotten a workout in after a long and tiring day. I'm proud of myself for not giving in to my lazy side...now let the battle for tomorrow begin.

Doesn't it feel so good AFTER you've worked out after a long and tiring day. I always tell myself when I've worked a long busy day at my job that its understandable not to workout today because of it...which, honestly, it is...but those days that I can actually get up and actually work out even after a busy day at the office...I feel so much better and happier and healthier (plus I sleep better too!). Great blog. Have fun dancing and don't ever stop because no one's watching you and you're having fun doing it!!

You sound like so much fun. I wish you were my workout buddy! Have you read Eat Pray Love? I think you'd like it. She, too, has a wandering mind. Keep up the dancing. The more you practice, the more the biking/dancing combo will work for you! ;o)
