My daughter, son-in-law and my new granddaughter Lily came to stay this weekend and I managed to eat okay and stay within my calorie limits. It was so nice just to snuggle Lily and take care of her so my daughter could have a few moments to herself. There really isn't anything like grandchildren.
I now have 4 grandchildren (3 boys and 1 girl) and they are one of the main reasons I want to get healthy. I want to live a long and active life so I can spend as much time with them as possible, and I don't want to just sit on the couch and watch them play like my nana used to do. I want to be able to get on the floor and play GI Joe and superheroes and tea parties and monsters and all that good stuff. My mom was a very young nana and she always played with my kids when they were young. I want to be able to do that too.
My foot still hurts and today I had an upset stomach but I need to get well because it's back to school tomorrow. There's no time to be sick during the school year. I'm still going to go for a walk tonight so I stay in the habit. I'll just take it slow and easy.
