Scary skinny

Can I just say that my sophomore English classes this year are adorable. 80 happy excited and fun students for me to inspire with a love of literature and written expression. What could be more fun?
My AP classes are fun too but they're a lot more work and much more stressful. This is going to be a great year.
I'm just hoping I can achieve my goals when it comes to weight loss. So far, I've lost 4lbs and I would like to lose at least 15 more. It's funny how the more I lose, the more I want to lose. But I have to know my limits. I don't want to get scary skinny (not that there's much chance of that with my love of food).
I recently saw an old friend and I didn't recognize her. She was inspired by The Biggest Loser and has lost a lot of weight through diet and exercise. Last time I saw her, she looked really good. She was just about right. But since then, she has continued to lose and this time she looked horrible, all haggard and scrawny. She looked sick. I think she might have an eating disorder or an obsessive exercise program or maybe both.
I read an article that said that when we're young, skinny looks younger than fat, but when we're older, fat looks younger than skinny. Ha!!! Maybe there is justice in this world.
Well, here's to losing weight and looking good!!!!! Here's to knowing when to stop.
