Ignorance is Bliss - Week 29
Thursday, August 27, 2009
This week totally went down the toilet. I normally follow the 90/10 rule of my nutrition ranges. So, about 90% of the time I'm on target and 10% of the time I give myself a break. I also only eat out about once of week, which becomes my 10%. If I am going to eat out, I like not having to order the "healthiest" thing of the menu - I find it a waste or both money and food. However, due to my ankle, I am not really cooking yet - reheating is more like it. Last week I ordered out food almost every day and ate the leftovers on the off days. Since I have that "order what I want when eating out" mentality... I totally blew my ranges out the park!!! Also, I was out of my normal routine and was eating a really big lunch, which left me full around dinner time. Since I had already eaten too much I decided to skip dinner, but come 10pm I would be starving and would make terrible choices again!
This scattered routine continued just about the whole week.
As a result... I averaged 2200 calories a day and gained 1.8 pounds for the week
So far, I am back on track for this week. I realize that as long as I'm eating out all the time, I have to make better decisions about what I have. So far, so good!
On a personal note... if you read my previous blog then you know I had a very rough night. I decided IGNORANCE IS BLISS. And although it may be true that there are more liars in the world than good people and because of my history I may be a neon welcome sign to those liars... I don't want to know or think about it. That realization and those thoughts get me absolutely no where and fast! I don't want to be reactive, I want to be proactive.
So, I am ignoring all previous thoughts because it does me no good whatsoever. I'm going to try and be cautious if and when I meet new people and just hope that I have satisfied my lifetime quota of users and abusers. Regardless, I have to get my butt out there and be social!! I'm happy to say that I went out on Tuesday and met up with a random group of people from the website Meetup.com where people get together with different interests. Hopefully I can keep it up!
